Cameroon

Cameroon, being part of Central Africa, has a good coffee production history. Unfortunately, the country is facing two major problems. In the Cameroonian village of Oku, most coffee trees are already 20 to 40 years old, the age where trees aren’t as productive as they used to be. Their old coffee trees only yield 25% of younger trees potential.

To make the situation worse, the country is also affected by the coffee rust epidemic. This disease highly affects the efforts being put by Cameroonian farmers to plant new coffee trees.
